‘Blank Space’ by Taylor Swift – I am not ashamed to say I am a big T-Swift fan haha.

  3. Do you own any pets? If so, what? If not, how come?
Yes I own 2 beautiful dogs, one overly affectionate cat and a bossy bird.
  4. What’s your favorite book?
Too hard to choose I have so many!

  6. What was something difficult for you and how did you overcome it?
My boyfriend and I have been doing a long distancefor the past two years while he completes his national service in Singapore. In the beginning it was difficult for me to have that person who was always there for me in another country, in time however I learned that I could use all of this spare time I had for myself, catching up with girlfriends and learning how to do things on my own and I have become a lot more independent and happier because of it. Also I get to go shopping in Singapore semi-regularly 😉
  7. What are some of your favorite things to do? I love to read, see my friends, go shopping, swim at the beach.
  8. Have you ever been to Disney?
No I need to go as soon as possible! But I love in Australia so it is so far away 😦
  9. Sweet snacks or salty snacks? Sweet!
  10. What’s one of your favorite articles of clothing and why? I have a red fit and flare dress from Zara, I think I would go as far to say it is my favorite dress and I would wear it every day if I could, don’t worry I don’t. Everything about though, is perfect to me the cut, the material and the colour.

Crafternoon – DIY Peppermint Lip Balm

lip balm cover

What you will need:

2 TBSP beeswax
2 TBSP coconut oil
2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
chunk of lipstick (A lot goes a little way)
1/2 tsp. of shimmer powder (Optional.. but lets be real, essential.)
10 drops of essentail oil (I used peppermint because it gives your lips that minty tingling feeling)

Melt everything except the essential oil in a double boiler (A pot on top of another pot with boiling water underneath) until it is all completely melted.

Make sure not to overheat (Beeswax will ignite if it gets too hot). Stir with something that you can throw away, I used a bamboo skewer.

Remove from heat and add essential oil. Use a syringe or pipette dropper to fill up your lip balm containers. I bought mine off Ebay you can also get them from craft stores.

Leave to sit at room temperature or put into the fridge until lip balm has hardened or opaque.

Time taken to make: 10 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Vintage Tea Party in Singapore

Yesterday I dragged my slightly unsure boyfriend off to a vintage high tea at Dempsey Hill in Singapore, we are currently both in Singapore, me just for a holiday and him completing his national service (2 months left yay!), I had seen this place on my last trip when we were in the area for dinner and knew straight away I was making sure we visited it when I was over again. Click here for their website.

The food tasted as good as the presentation and the tea was so delicious, I wish I could show you how good it smelled! 🙂

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATo go with the vintage feel of the high tea I wore one of my favorite dresses that makes me feel like I have stepped right out of the 1950’s.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis dress is from Anthropologie, click here. Sadly it is sold out on the online store but this dress does frequent eBay.

Style Diary – Needle and Thread Tulle Skirt

Ever since I was a little girl I have been on the hunt for the perfect tulle skirt, those hunts were mostly limited to the fairy shops and as I grew older expanded into clothing stores,  ASOS has put an end to my searching as I have found, in my opinion, the perfect tulle skirt.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI teamed the tulle skirt with a black crop from factorie and some black ballet flats from Target.

The Aztec’s secret for clear skin

It is a lazy Saturday afternoon and I have decided to treat myself to a face mask, this is the best face mask I have ever used, it is the Aztec Secret: Indian Healing Clay Mask, I heard about this from one of my favourite YouTubers Kathleen Lights, if you have never watched her before you definitetly should because she is amazing, her make up looks are so beautiful and easy to do! This mask is super inexpensive, I bought it off ebay for $25 (Australian dollars) and there is so much product I won’t be running out anytime soon. It is in a powder form so it instructs you to mix it with apple cider vinegar so you can make a paste. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Above is everything you will need; The indian healing clay, apple cider vinegar, a cup to mix everything in, measuring spoons and I have a paddle foundation brush that I use to apply my face masks.

I scoop out 1 teaspoon of the powder into the cup and then add the apple cider vinegar, add a small amount of vinegar and mix with the brush before adding more, this allows you to make sure you get the right consistency, you don’t want it to be too thick or too runny.

When the apple cider vinegar mixes with the clay it will fizz like you can see in the picture.

Put this all over your face and under your chin to your neck for 15-20 minutes, the instructions say that you will “feel your face pulsate”, I wouldn’t say that I have experienced any pulsating but this mask definitely does get very tight so if you have sensitive skin you might need to remove it earlier. I use this mask twice a week and I think it helps keeping my skin clear and it gives it a nice glow, I strongly recommend this face mask ❤
